Introduction

Plumbing Booster is a professional plumbing engineering software for Windows and Android. It works offline-first, supports IPC, UPC, and NSPC codes, and provides automated calculations for pipe sizing, drainage, pumps, water heaters, and tanks. This reference covers all modules and their capabilities.

Modules

**Domestic Water** - Water supply pipe sizing with IPC/UPC/NSPC tables or velocity-based method. Includes WSFU calculation, pressure analysis, riser diagrams, and PDF reports. **Drainage System** - Sanitary, storm, and chemical drainage design. One-pipe and two-pipe systems, DFU-based pipe sizing, slope compliance, drainage riser diagrams. **Pumps & Pump Selection** - Six pump types: booster, transfer, hot-water recirculation, sewage, sump, and stormwater. TDH calculation with computed friction mode (Hazen-Williams engine with IPC Appendix E fitting equivalent lengths), system curves, N+1 redundancy, ASPE lift-station review, source-linked duty points. **Water Heaters** - ASPE 2015 Methods 1-2 and ASHRAE 2019 Tables 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11-12, 13, 14, 16, 17. B2 auto-staging with N+1 redundancy, catalog-based selection (AO Smith and others) with brand policy and hard constraints, generic standard selection, tankless sizing. **Water Supply Tanks & Vessels** - Four tank types: potable-atmospheric, fire-water-nfpa22, pressure-tank, irrigation-tank. Five potable sizing methods (ASPE M1, ASPE M2, SEP autonomy, SEP per-capita, CIBSE G). Four NFPA 22 configurations (F1, F2, F3, F4). Per-quantity unit preferences. **Global Unit Converter** - 27 quantity categories with per-category favorites, recent units, and recent conversion pairs. Opens in a separate standalone window on desktop.

Cross-Module Integration

Modules share project data through a common workspace: - **Project info, floors, units, and plumbing code** are shared across all modules. - **Domestic Water demand** can be imported into Pumps (booster sizing) and Water Heaters. - **Drainage System** data can be imported into Pumps (sump/sewage sizing). - **Water Supply Tanks** data can be imported into Pumps. - Project files save all module data in a single .mse file. Changes to shared parameters (project name, floors, units) in any module propagate to all others.

Platform Support

**Windows Desktop** - Electron app with full features, custom Revit-style file browser, 28-day free trial. **Android** - Capacitor app with mobile-optimized UI, numeric keyboard with negative support, autocomplete prevention. **Offline-First** - All calculations run locally, no internet required. No project data is transmitted. **Cross-Platform Files** - Project files (.mse) are JSON-based and portable between platforms.
