IPC Fixture Pressure Requirements (Table 604.3)

IPC Table 604.3 required pressure at fixture outlets for proper operation.

Introduction

IPC Table 604.3 specifies the minimum pressure required at fixture outlets for proper operation. These values are critical for pressure analysis - the available pressure must exceed the required pressure at the most hydraulically remote fixture.

Notes

  • Flushometer valve fixtures require significantly higher pressures (35-45 psi) than tank-type fixtures (20 psi).
  • These pressures must be available AT the fixture outlet, not at the building entrance.
  • Pressure analysis adds static head, friction losses, and meter losses to these values.
  • Plumbing Booster uses these values automatically in IPC pressure analysis.
